Legislation Title:

A resolution recognizing the Roosevelt Neighborhood Plan Update.

· Summary of the Legislation: Resolution would give official recognition to the planning document produced by volunteers in the Roosevelt neighborhood.  This is consistent with the City’s practice on other neighborhood plans.

· Background: The neighborhood prepared an earlier plan that was recognized by a Resolution.  Since that time, Sound Transit identified a station location in the neighborhood, and the Department of Neighborhoods awarded the neighborhood a matching fund grant to enable the neighborhood to update that earlier plan.  This year the City Council is scheduled to adopt goals and policies from this updated plan into the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
