Seattle Municipal Archives Audio Collection
This index describes selected audio recordings in the Seattle Municipal Archives
available for research use. Most recordings indexed to date are of full City Council
meetings, Council committee meetings, and public hearings and date principally from
1963 to 1985. Issues addressed in the recordings include: Pike Place
Market redevelopment, Westlake Plaza, open housing, and the R.H. Thomson Expressway. Also
included are recordings of interviews conducted by the City Council's WTO
Accountability Review Committee in 2000-2001. Audio content is not available online
at this time. Please contact the Archives to make an appointment to listen to these recordings or to request copies.
Work on the City of Seattle Audio Collection is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Library with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for reformatting, cataloging, and indexing.
