    YESLER-BUILDING
    • ZD-4075
The Yesler Building, on a triangular site between 5th Avenue, James and Terrace Streets, was Seattle's City Hall from 1909 to 1916. After that time it housed the Police, Fire and Health departments, and was called the Public Safety Building. After the new Public Safety Building was completed in 1951, the Yesler building stayed in City ownership for a few years. Since then parts of the building have been leased as City offices from time to time.
